Of course, the pixel play we have here, while gracious, has its shortcomings. For instance, even with suicide doors providing facile access to the rear seats, the passengers occupying those seats would face serious legroom challenges.
However, Jaguar has confirmed that the F-Type will be replaced in two years from now (the fact that this is not a regular model means it receives a longer life cycle).
And the modular architecture that will underpin the future sportscar might be capable of accommodating more than just two occupants.
Of course, the possibilities for the F-Type replacement are much larger. For instance, the newcomer might serve as the long-expected 2+2 XK replacement.
