Jaguar has been at it for a while now, making new, more potent cars together with Land Rover. The Brits has recently launched the a 550 horsepower version of the XJ and are likely working on a super-SUV with the same output based on the RR Sport chassis.
But Ian Callum has let slip that he wants to copy Porsche's 911 and make ever newer versions of the F-Type. That should include a more powerful version with the same engine output as the XKR-S.
Let's just call that car the F-Type RS for now and look at the renderings from Theophilus Chin. He rendered the car using elements from the new Project 7 Concept and thus added carbon fiber chin spoilers, a big diffuser and side bladed side skirts. What matters is that it will be both fun and fast without compromising the ride quality completely.
550 hp on the F-Type would be enough for 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds and a top speed of about 300 km/h. It's never going to outrace the Porsche 911 Turbo, but it wins points for style and presence.
