The car is a two-seater roadster with a fabric roof, simple and elegant, almost timeless in a way. However, there’s no mistaking it for any other Jaguar, because it’s got an angular grille that’s never been used before.

“A piece of design should tell a story and this is why every line in the F-Type has a start, a direction and a conclusion”, said the brand’s director of design Ian Callum. “If you approach every line individually and get it as aesthetically correct as possible, get the dimensions right, it will stand the test of time.”

The chassis i built from aluminum to save weight, and even the double wishbone suspension has been tailored from aluminum. The interior is unique, as Jaguar describes it as a “one plus one”. The controls, switches and center console are all driver-centric. There’s a swooping handle to the right of the center console which blocks the view of passenger and makes the driver feel couched.

The new F-Type will roadster will be sold in three flavors – F-Type, F-Type S and F-Type V8 S.

The basic version is powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 producing 340 PS (335 hp) which helps the car accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. The F-Type S has a 380 PS version of the same engine and will do the same sprint in 4.9 seconds. The most powerful version, the V8 S, is powered by a supercharged V8 that puts out 495 PS (488 HP) and 625 Nm (460.9 lb-ft) of torque. This gets you from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds.

Electronically limited maximum track speeds are 161 mph (260 km/h), 171 mph (275 km/h) and 186 mph (300 km/h), respectively, for the V6, V6 S and V8 S models.
