It looks like parent company Tata decided to bring some of the luxury and sportiness it was developing overseas back home. Combining the two characteristics, Jaguar's F-Type sportcar finally made its long-awaited debut in India and is available in 2 variants.
The basic 340 PS model is not going to be sold in India, as the range starts with the more powerful F-Type S that has the same 3.0-liter supercharged V6 and 380 PS, plus a hefty 460 Nm of torque.
This model does the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 4.9 seconds and hits its top speed at 275 km/h. The car is fitted as standard with an eight-speed automatic and costs INR 13,700,000 (€175,000).
Jaguar also wants to sell its more powerful F-Type V8 S, which has a 495 PS 5-liter V8. This car is good for 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 300 km/h. The price at Mumbai dealerships starts at INR 16,100,000 (€206,000).
