Jaguar F-Type Four-Door Coupe Is a Rendering That Makes You Wish for More

As we showed you earlier this month, Jaguar currently likes to indulge in SVR shenanigans, having recently offered us the ridiculously brutish F-Type SVR.
But what if we were to imagine we lived in an alternate reality involving Jaguar following the let's-fill-every-niche strategy of its German competitors?

While such an approach on Coventry's side would obviously bring its fair share of ups and downs, one, probably immediate, delight would come in the form of the F-Type four-door coupe.

Instead of Jag adding more power (is the current 575 hp output enough?), as well as the supporting hardware and a few bells and whistles, the automaker could allow us to share the joys of the F with our loved ones.

Sure, that would involve costs that wouldn't necessarily be covered by the resulting sales, and yet we can't stop but be amazed by the rendering we have here.

Coming from Rain Prisk Designs, the image has given us a perspective that would allow the big cat to enter a segment that, for instance, Porsche has been rumored to consider for quite some years now - we're talking about the sub-Panamera sedan here.

Now that the F-Type can be ordered in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive forms, with both a manual or a torque converter, the sportscar has all the attributes that would allow it to become an excellent piece of accommodation for four.

Sure, Jaguar now has the XE, but the distance between this and the hypothetical F-Type four-door coupe would resemble that separating the Land Rover Discovery Sport and the Evoque.

Then again, those SUVs and, in fact, crossovers in general, are the reason sedans such as the ones discussed here are losing ground. So don't hold your breath for a Jag such as the one you see above.
