Jaguar F-Type, Damian Lewis "Desire" Short Film Launched

The “Desire” short film, starring Golden Globe & Emmy Award winning actor Damian Lewis and the Jaguar F-Type sportscar, premiered today at a private screening at Sundance London film and music festival.

Filmed in Chile’s Atacama Desert, the short movie, that also features Spanish actor Jordi Molla and American actress Shannyn Sossamon, is described as “a real adventure; a story of betrayal, retribution, passion and greed”. Given its James Bondish screenplay and setup, the Jaguar F-Type sure looks like the right car to grab the automotive center piece role.

Even the exclusive” Burning Desire” soundtrack, which was written and composed by famed singer Lana Del Rey, was inspired by the new F-Type. She could’ve created something to go better with the car’s own V8 “soundtrack”, but hey, what do we know about art?

“Jaguar is synonymous with some iconic moments in cinematic history, and we're excited about reigniting this powerful combination through a British-led, world class artistic project. We believe, alongside Ridley Scott Associates, that we have a visionary and outstanding quality filmic product, which is a great platform for our most important product launch in 50 years - the F-TYPE Jaguar,” said Jaguar global marketing communications director Ian Armstrong.
