While we had our reservations about recommending the F-Type roadster because it was expensive and not very practical, the brand new coupe has all of the looks with none of the drawbacks.
Jaguar has just announced extra-juicy details about the car and one of the headlines is that the F-Type Coupe has a 407 liter boot, which easily accommodates two sets of golf clubs, according to them at least. So then, it does what any Jaguar is supposed to, which means you we can recommend buying it.
The really good news is the getting rid of the convertible roof has made the car cheaper. In Britain, the basic F-Type Coupe costs £51,235 OTR. This gives you access to a 340 hp engine and standard sports seats, sports exhaust and sports brakes. The equivalent roadster is a £58,520, about £7,000 more. You can buy a whole other car for that!
As for the F-Type S Coupe, £60,235 will get you one of these 380 hp hardtops, but also bigger 19-inch wheels, cooler interior trim, ambient lighting and a butterfly valve in the exhaust. Again, it's much cheaper than the roadster, which costs £67,520.
Finally, there's range-topping F-Type R, powered by a 550 hp V8, which in Britain will set you back £85,000, which is more expensive than the most powerful roadster. But, we're talking about totally different models here.
