The coupe version of the sexy Jaguar everybody is talking about has been revealed. The F-Type has learned a few other party tricks besides placing a roof over your head. This Porsche 911 fighter now has a more powerful engine, plus up to 407 liters of boot space accessible through a large hatch. Still, the F-Type doesn't have any rear seats, unlike the 2+2 Porsche, or the original E-Type for that matter.

The F-Type R Coupe is offered with a 5-liter supercharged V8, but it's not the one we know from the V8 S. Instead, they took the big 550 PS version of that block, which also churns out a mighty 680 Nm of torque, from the bigger XKR-S and shoehorned it into this smaller car.

The result is a car that goes from 0 to 60 mph (98 km/h) in 4.0 seconds and tops out at an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph (296 km/h). It's true that Porsche's 911 Turbo is faster, but the sound is so much better on the Jag' and the F-Type R is about 30% cheaper than a Turbo.

Of course, this isn't the only F-Type Coupe model available. There's also the basic one that has a 340 PS supercharged V6. The more power S Coupe with the same engine buy 380 PS completes the range, providing 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 171 mph.

All the models have RWD and an eight-speed 'Quickshift' transmission with full manual sequential control via steering wheel-mounted paddles.
