Jaguar F-Type Coupe Prototype Testing Ceramic Brakes

For all its apparent lack of precision compared to a Porsche 911, Jaguar has still managed to sell a huge number of new F-Types. But is that really surprising when you consider how sexy this car from every angle?

Next year, the Brits will take things even further by launching the coupe version, which we've been waiting for ever since the early days of the concept.

Rumored to be lighter and as much as 30% stiffer, the F-Type Coupe could be the definitive Jag, especially if we take a look at what's happening in this video. From the sound and the number of exhaust pipes, we can easily tell this prototype is a supercharged V8 model. However BridgetoGantry points out it could also be equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, indicating the RS model could be on the way. (gold brakes, like on the XKR-S GT)

At the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed, Jaguar chose to evoke the spirit of the Le Mans winning D-Type by showing a 550 horsepower F-Type-based concept. This would be the target output for the potential F-Type RS model when it comes out next year.
