Jaguar F-Type Arriving at Goodwood

The camouflaged Jag F-Type prototype made its arrival at Goodwood yesterday via the Moving Motor Show, which comes a day before the Festival of Speed. Despite Jaguar’s efforts to get the car into the venue and hidden inside a container, Shmee150 managed to get really close and film it.
The two-seater roadster is a spiritual successor to the famous E-Type Jaguar. The lines look really simple and elegant, with no fuss or overemphasis on modern details.

Jaguar has already announced that the regular F-Type will be powered by a new 3.0-liter supercharged engine that will deliver either 340 or 380 horsepower. There’s also a rumor that the F-Type R will offer the same 5.0-liter supercharged engine offered by its bigger brother. However, we should not forget that the C-X16 Concept offered a supercharged V6 that was combined with a 95 horsepower electric motor. So we could be looking at a similar setup here.
