Jaguar’s brand new C-X17 sports crossover concept made its Middle Eastern debut today, being introduced at the 2013 Dubai International Motor Show. In addition, the British-headquartered automaker released a new batch of photos with the vehicle wearing a Liquid Aluminum metal finish.
Fully revealed at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the new crossover concept is underpinned by a brand new all-aluminum platform. Jaguar declined any other details regarding the vehicle, but a test drive video we reported about yesterday suggests the C-X17 is powered by the company’s supercharged V6 engine.
Jaguar has yet to confirm the vehicle will be put into production, but rumor has it the sports crossover will be launched sometime in 2016.
“The C-X17 concept is one example of the diversity of vehicles that could be produced using the modular, scalable new architecture. As a sports crossover, it combines the character and driving experience of a sports car with increased presence and flexibility - all imbued with the sleek lines and luxurious sophistication Jaguar is renowned for”, Jaguar said in a recent statement.
