Jaguar C-X75 Runs the Goodwood Hill

Porsche has a 900 horsepower hybrid supercar. Ferrari has one as well and McLaren's ready for delivery already. But Jaguar… doesn't.

That's because Jaguar's C-X75 could have been the most amazing, most ambitions project in Jaguar history. But we all know what happens when Jaguar gets too ambitious.

Perhaps putting this thing into production with a Jaguar badge might have been a bad idea, but as a prototype it's achieved all its goals: CO2 emissions of under 89 grams/km, pure electric range of 37 miles and 0 to 100mph in under 6 seconds. Prius+Volt+Veyron=Jaguar.

If you'd like to know what a 500 horsepower 1.6-liter engine sounds like, this is it. The C-X75 made a demonstration of its capabilities at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed.
