Jaguar has recently revealed the ground-braking new bicycle created by Pinarello and supported by the team. Built in consultation with Team Sky, the one whining the 2013 Tour de France, it's supposed to be the fastest bike out there.
Pinarello Dogma F8 is a race bike born out of a great combination between Team Sky, one of the leading professional road cycling teams, Pinarello, the famous Italian bike manufacture and Jaguar. While the first two have used their expertise in cycling, the car maker added its advanced aerodynamic knowledge and facilities to help its creators.

According to the manufacturers, the priorities in developing the new bike were to maintain handling, reduce weight, while improving its stiffness and aerodynamics. The first race Dogma will take the road will be the Criterium du Dauphine, which starts on 8th of June, but the major target will of course be the Tour de France, which starts in Leeds on the 5th of July.

“Just holding it you can feel it, they’ve managed to get the weight right down. But getting on the bike you can feel the rigidity, what ever power you put into the pedals goes in the road”, explained Chris Froome, the 2013 Tour de France winner, while presenting the bicycle in the clip.

The frame is expected to be available in the UK in the next two weeks. Although the pricing is still to be confirmed, think that its forerunner, the Dogma 65.1, costs a jaw-dropping $12,500 (EUR 9,200), so you’d better start saving!

As to the collaboration between the car manufacturer and Pinarello, you’ll probably want to know the F8 project was born at last year’s Tour when the two - both high profile sponsors of Team Sky - signed an agreement to work together on the bike.
