As we told you last week, the last Indian Chief Vintage in the Jack Daniel’s limited edition run got to be auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas event. The bike finally found a new owner, who paid well over 100,000 dollars on it.
The lucky bidder goes by the name of Vincent Amato and he won the auction by forking out $150,000 (€136,420 at current exchange rates) to grab the limited edition Indian and display it in his private collection.

All the money goes to Operation Ride Home, a program that assists with active U.S. military personnel in traveling home to visit their families through a partnership with the Armed Services YMCA.

The 150-unit limited edition series was designed with the help of Klock Werks custom shop to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Jack Daniel Distillery. All the units have been sold this year for around $30,000 a piece, except for the one here, which is NO.1 and was being saved for the auction.

“It’s fantastic to see these two great brands partner for such a worthy cause,” said Steve Menneto, President of Motorcycles for Polaris Industries. “Both Indian Motorcycle and Jack Daniel’s have a respect and admiration for our enlisted men and women, and bringing military families together for the holidays is something that is truly special.”

All the bikes are fitted with a collection of both Indian accessories and Jack Daniel’s-inspired custom paint and logos. Regarding the theme of the bikes, a special message reading “Bottles and Throttles Don’t Mix” is applied on all units, making for a mantra every whiskey-loving rider should remind of.

The #001 Jack Daniel’s Chief Vintage bike sold here comes with chrome billet floorboards, black heated seat for the passenger and rider, as well as blacked out fuel cap, rear lights assembly, fuel gauge, headdress light, fender tips, saddlebags and tank pouch. The painting theme has been done manually at Klock Werks’ shop.
