It Takes $5,850 to Levitate On Water with the New Hoverboard

The latest invention of the French jet ski champion Franky Zapata takes water-sports to a newer level. Designed for adventure, the hoverboard will take you 16 feet (5 meters) above the water with speeds up to 15 mph (25km/h). It’s a water propelled device that allows its users to realize multiple freestyle tricks, and it looks pretty cool.

After their last product, Flyboard, has encountered huge success all over the world, Franky Zappata has designed a new and improved version, the Hoverboard by ZR. This new flying device might be defined as a mix between surfing and the Flyboard. It’s attached to a Personal Watercraft which gives its propulsion through the air. The whole propulsion is routed through the primary nozzle that is attached to the board.

It might not be the same with the Aero-X bike we already wrote about, but it has more advantages. While the “Skywalker” bike is to be released in 2017 and will cost $85,000 (EUR 62,770), the Hoverboard is already on the market and it’s a lot cheaper, $5,850 (EUR 4,319).

The clip was filmed by Devin Supertramp in 4k ultra-high resolution and we must admit it looks pretty awesome. Devin is an independent photographer passionate about getting the perfect frames and he really got the best out of this one. We’ll let you guys check it out and make your own opinion.
