Even if we're looking at a bike which is listed as no longer suitable for road or track riding, we cannot help drifting away to the times of yore, with all their strangely-appealing design. And this restored Ducati 48 Sport showcased by Radical Ducati S.L. really evokes a seemingly forgotten era.
The Ducati is a 1962 motorcycle, powered by a 48cc engine which could, in the old days of its youth, reach as much as 50 mph (80 km/h). With repainted frame and bodywork, the Ducati 48 Sport, also known in the US as the Falcon, shows its clean and beautiful lines.
The stock engine however now sits in a modified frame, loaded with dual Betor rear shocks, Akront-Morad rims and Dunlop tires. The spokes are now in stainless steel and the front brake drum is a GP-style magnesium one.
While the racing solo seat is a custom job, the fuel tank is still the original. We don't know whether this bike is still for sale, but it came with a $4,000 (€3,120), rumor has it.
