There are some people who believe that only the guys riding super-fast, powerful sport bikes are reckless and this goes the same for similar cars. Still, life gives us numerous examples proving that mindless idiots are to be found pretty much anywhere, using all sorts of transportation.
Now, I’ve watched this video for several times and remembered what a buddy of mine who rode in South-East Asia told me… but still it’s really hard to believe what I was watching was real.
I really pity the innocent incoming rider, and his belief in the reasonable decisions the idiot causing this accident would make. However, he could have tried to swerve and avoid collision, but failed to react, unfortunately. It looks like the one responsible for this crazy crash was either drunk or under the influence of other substances. I sincerely refuse to acknowledge that some riders can be that reckless and stupid and not realize the danger they put themselves in. That is, in case they are not really giving a flying fudge on the safety of others…
Still, I believe that seeing a large truck approaching from the opposite direction and passing so close to the scooter should put some sense in a rider’s mind. I’m watching this over and over again and each time I just shrug and turn out a puzzled face.
I wonder whether this rider had a driving license or any idea on what the basic rules of riding on a public road were…
