The car in the video has a truly one-of-a-kind exhaust (hopefully it really is one of these out there). To us, it looks like a water drain pipe but to the owner of that E39 540i it definitely looked like a genuine muffler.
The E39 540i already has a 4.4 V8 M62 engine with 282 HP that makes a decent sound, so why would you do this to your car? Except from the fact that is looks outrageous the sound of the exhaust isn't even that better. Actually the difference is unnoticeable.
Thank god that tuners like Akrapovic exist sincey they make extraordinary exhausts. Unfortunately not all of us afford a BMW or a custom exhaust system, but doing this to your car is just unforgivable.
