We know Japanese company Isuzu mainly for their pickups, but they have started to change their ways with better and better SUVs. This new MU-X is derived from the D-Max pickup with which it shares its ladder chassis and some engines.
But in fact the D-Max is a copy of the Chevrolet Colorado, the two models having been developed together in Thailand. This means the MU-X is actually akin to the TrailBlazer SUV, also sold as the Holden Colorado 7.

Power for the 2014 Isuzu MU-X comes from a 3-liter turbodiesel with 177 PS (174 bhp) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. It's available both with 4x2 or 4x4 and transmission options include both a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed sequential unit.
