The ongoing Toyota Corolla has been around for more than a year, which means that normally, it would take another year or so until we get to see the facelifted version. However, Toyota released a video that might prove us wrong.
Nope, we’re not talking about a teaser video, although we’re pretty sure most of you expected that. Toyota’s Serbian arm released a video which describes how their Safety Sense systems and the car chosen for explaining those features seems to be a potential Corolla facelift.
Of course, the video is focused on nothing more than demonstrative purposes and it’s also 100% computer generated. That means all we can do is only launch a set of speculations based on it, but after all, why not?
If these images will ever come close to the real deal, the facelifted Corolla will benefit from some styling cues inspired by the recently refreshed Auris. And since its Serbia we’re talking about, such changes would target the European-spec Corolla.
The front end gains a level or two of aggressive look while the rear end will have to settle for a thicker chrome bar between the taillights. The bumper is also looking like it went through some revising work, but it could just as well be the random interpretation of the ones who created the video.
If you’ll pay enough attention to the video, you’ll see that the dials hint at the upgraded Auris Hybrid. So, has Toyota just revealed the upcoming Corolla Hybrid destined for the European market or this is just a tempest in a teapot?
We’ll probably find out more in the near future, but until then, take your time and watch the video below. After that, you can tell us what you think in the comments section below.
