Is This the New Erik Buell Racing Street Motorcycle?
Controversy sprouts as this picture was published on the official Erik Buell Racing (EBR) Facebook page.
Those not hearing the EBR name for the first time should know that riding with a pillion is one of the rather rare things one does aboard a new Buell machine, and for the rest, the "Racing" suffix should be pretty self-explanatory.

However, as EBR and Hero have joined hands and the Indians got hold of just under 50% of the American manufacturer, we might just get to see Erik really considering more streetable machines in the future.

While performance specs and killer looks have always been strong points when considering getting a Buell, the price tag was the exact opposite. With prices staring in the $40k (€30,435) mark, it was all too obvious that the customers are forming a niche.

With Indian backup and help, things might change for the better and hopefully we'll get to see a street machine with more affordable prices. No expensive carbon fiber parts, and better-priced ones made in India could drop the price tag quite well, and this could be a fantastic opportunity for EBR to push more bikes and develop a widely-affordable line-up of high-performance machines for all the markets.

And all the above, just because we saw that generous passenger seat, so uncommon when it comes to EBR machinery...
