When it comes to tuning a car you can easily go overboard and turn what was initially supposed to be a decent, elegant project into a mashup made of all sort of ‘weird’ parts and stickers.
We’ve seen it happening when the Fast and Furious franchise first hit the cinemas world wide. Everyone started tuning their cars and everyone was a wanna be racer.

Games like Need for Speed Underground didn’t exactly help afterwards, bringing even more tuning dreams to life, in the virtual world this time. However, as it happens most of the time, whatever people saw in the game eventually was brought to the streets.

That’s how we ended up with cars filled with decals and Japanese lettering, cars that had 1.4-liter, 3-cylinder engines under the bonnet but no exhaust so that it can be louder than ever and so on. It was a terrible time for tuning.

Of course, most serious and old tuners in the game didn’t pay attention to such deviations and they kept going, offering the same products we’ve been used to. People at Alpina, AC Schnitzer and Hartge are hard to impress.

Tuning your car though, doesn’t mean you necessarily have to go to them. You can transform your ride into something special with a little imagination and the right amount of money.

In Singapore, car prices are absolutely crazy. Because the government wants to take emissions as low as possible, since the nation is facing the worst air quality in its history, prices have gone through the roof on even the most basic cars.

The Fast and Furious 7 crew couldn’t believe the prices of cars when they travelled to the Asian country, a while back, learning in shock that a Prius, for example, starts at $154,000. And that’s an eco-friendly car!

Therefore, when we saw this beautiful M5, we knew that the man driving it must be loaded! The car has a 4.4-liter V8 biturbo engine making 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. It can hardly be considered anything close to eco-friendly. It’s more of a gas-guzzler if you ask us, despite the level of performance it offers.

On top of the acquisition price, the tuning set-up must’ve cost a pretty penny too. The color seems to be similar to the Frozen Blue shade offered by BMW through the Individual program but with a dark twist.

However, we can’t really be sure if this is a paint job or a wrap. If it’s the latter, congratulations are in order as it was a very well done job, leaving absolutely no clue behind.

The kidney grille was also painted or wrapped in the same color while the overall theme of the car went dark, with smoked out taillights and black wheels to match the black tailpipes.

Overall, it’s a stunning M5, looking absolutely crazy good and a very good contestant for the ‘best looking M5 we’ve ever seen’ award. Of course it would have to go up against the Matte Fire Orange model we spotted a while ago but they’re neck and neck right now in our top. How about yours?
