With the second-generation Porsche Panamera line-up comprised of nine models (make that ten on the European market), we can now call it complete. And since the new Panamera has proven to be nothing short of brilliant, we can't help but get ahead of ourselves and think of what comes next for the Zuffenhausen family, all with the two-door twist delivered by the spy footage below.
The German automaker has already confirmed it will bring us the Panamera Shooting Brake (the name is not official, though) at next year's Geneva Motor Show, with the styling-savvy estate set to land in the US as a 2018 model.
But when it comes to the rumored and previously spied Panamera Coupe, things are more complicated. The rumor mill talks about Zuffenhausen still weighing the option of expanding the Panamera family with a two-door model and the piece of footage at the bottom of the page could show us just that.
Since the new Panamera shares its MSB platform with the future Bentley Continental GT, such a spotting could trick one into believing this is actually a test car for the second incarnation of the Conti. However, the Crewe specialists now have their dedicated body for the 2018 Continental GT, as we've shown you on multiple occasions.
We can't mention such a topic without talking about 928 spiritual successor part. However, while the front-engined grand tourer was originally envisioned as a replacement for the 911, a modern-day 928 would come with totally different intentions, as the Neunelfer is more succesful than ever - here are the latest spyshots of the next-gen 911.
The Coupe would pack distinct front and rear fascias while being able to dip in the generous engine line-up we mentioned in the intro (the Panamera range now even features rear-wheel-drive models).
And by the time the two-door would be released (if approved, this should land in late 2017 or early 2018), we expect Zuffenhausen to expand the four-door Panny range even further and we're talking about the yet-unreleased GTS and Turbo S versions.
