The German bike manufacturer Ronax announces the upcoming unveiling of a new motorcycle dibbed the Ronax 500. The event will take place on June 8th and underneath the yellow cover pictured above Ronax has hidden a… drums rolling… 500cc V4 2-stroke machine!
Even though such a motorcycle seems to be a true blast from the past, as it harks back to the older glory of the GP500 series, Ronax claims the machine is street-legal. However, minor modifications which are (presumably) easy to make could turn the Ronax 500 into a track bike, the maker adds.

The Ronax 500 is said to “meet the highest expectations in performance and craftsmanship” and be “a racebike by nature with all necessities for the road, a racebike ready for road,”as the official website lets us know. Ronax promises that the riding stance and handling are on par with what any rider could expect from a modern bike, as the machine is exceptionally nimble and light, with a race-worthy power to weight ratio.

Now, we’ve heard some rumors about a potential Valentino Rossi GP bike replica, but things were quite fuzzy. Now, learning that the Ronax 500 will only be available in a most exclusivist 46-unit run and seeing a very familiar “46” in the upper right corner of the landing page of the Ronax website is startling.

Even more, the air intake profiled under the yellow cover looks strangely similar to the old NSR the Doctor rode back in the day, so I’d bet my money on a Rossi replica…
