If we were to believe a small piece of news coming from MPN, we'd say that the new Suzuki operations in the US (Suzuki Motor of America Inc. or SMAI) have started 2013 with full force.
The piece says that the new Suzuki company reported tat combined motorcycle, ATV and Scooter sales to the Suzuki dealers were up an unbelievable 68% in April, compared to the same period of the previous year.

MPN cites a SMAI report which attributed the record sales to the zero-percent retail financing and the Yoshimura exhausts promotion, which have convinced the customers to get a new Suzuki bike. The best-selling machines were the RM-Z ones, followed by dual-sport bikes, such as the DR650SE and the DR-Z400SM.

New bikes are expected to hit the Suzuki dealerships in May and June. Rod Lopusnak, General Manager of the SMAI Motorcycle and ATV Sales Division reportedly added: “Riding season is upon us, and Suzuki dealers are eager to show these compelling new products that will satisfy a variety of motorcycling interests.”

In case this is not a hoax and Suzuki is really faring well, we might see the guys at Hamamatsu happy once more and more happy Suzuki riders both on and off the streets. And that's good! Enough bad news for a spring, don't you think?
