Iron Man 2 Official Trailer

You might be wondering, while reading this piece, what is the connection between the upcoming (we're sure it will be) blockbuster Iron Man 2 and an auto site. Well, to put it simple, read our motto: Nihil sine Machinae. Which, loosely translated from a relative latin, means "nothing exists without machines." And there are plenty of those in this one...

Take, for one, the Iron Man or, to be politically correct, the two Iron Men which we'll see in this movie. Add a touch of a hybrid Mickey Rourke (aka Whiplash) and you begin to get an idea.

And then, take a look at this first trailer released. We will understand why we though it's best to write something about the movie (apart from the obvious reasons, Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson): Tony Stark's vintage Grand Prix race getting shredded by Whiplash's...electric whip.

Of course, with the movie coming waaaay in May 2010, nobody really knows what's the full story behind the car. We reckon the given scene
will form the intrigue of the movie, when Stark will come face to face (judging by the look on Downey's face), probably for the first time, with Whiplash.

According to Road & Track magazine, apparently the only ones to know what's going on behind the scenes, the vintage race car is driven by Stark in "the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, a vintage race held in Monte Carlo." Judging by the surroundings, they might be on to something...

We, for one, can't wait for the movie to come out. Some of you might believe it to be a piece of c**p, as was the first Iron Man... Apparently, Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Mickey Rourke, Don Cheadle and the two girls we mentioned earlier thought it is worth it. Or they got paid really well. Either way, it will all be unveiled next May.
