According to Hell For Leather Magazine, Iron Heart, which was created about 9 years ago by some Japanese bikers in search for the right denim to wear when riding, has come up with a collection of thick denim items, totally different from any other denim you have ever seen before. The difference consists mainly in the thickness of the material used for making jackets and jeans for motorbike riders. The 21 and 22oz denim is about 25 percent heavier than the thickest you've seen so far.
Having industrial zippers, the Iron Heart items are designed in a classic American style and are meant to improve the safety of the bikers. The jackets are designed in such a way that they allow movement of the arm when riding. The pleats help the biker feel comfortable in the jacket. As you can see for yourself in the picture, the jacket has a red pocket to create some sort of contrast.
As for the jeans, they are definitely made to last longer than the ordinary ones and just as the jackets, they allow the biker to move at ease despite the heavy material.
However, the aforementioned items could not be considered a bargain as their price is rather spicy. A pair of jeans costs between $265 to $350 and the Rider's Jacket could reach $400.
Therefore, a complete suit will cost any biker somewhere around $800, but taking into consideration that the items will last longer than ordinary denims, you could consider it's worth the investment.
