IRC Driver Guy Wilks Received a Skoda Octavia vRS

Skoda UK Motorsport rally driver Guy Wilks has just received his new company car, a 200hp Skoda Octavia vRS.

Wilks, currently ranked second in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, after he finished on second place both in the Brazilian and Argentinean stages, took delivery of the hot Octavia from the automaker’s UK headquarters in Milton Keynes and put the car through its paces on his 200 mile drive back home (Darlington).

The vehicle is no “average” Octavia RS, as it is dressed in a Stunning White paint, features black sills and rides on Zenith 18 inch alloy rims. Guy will control the car from the a sport seat and will play with the three spoke leather-finished steering wheel that comes with aluminum trimming.

The rally star, who slides a racing Fabia S2000 through the special stages, will spend a lot of time in the Octavia vRS, as the summer will see him take part in many Skoda dealers events.

I’ve driven a lot of different Skodas over the years, so it’s nice to drive the new generation of cars and experience first hand the phenomenal improvements that the brand has made. I’m working my way through the current range quite quickly. I started the year driving a Yeti and now I’ve got an Octavia. That’s two cars in three months. I feel like the internal Skoda range tester, and, to be honest, I’m loving it!” said Wilks.

The Octavia vRS is a good looking car and great to drive. The sports package is really quite something, with amazing levels of standard equipment. It’s fantastic to have such performance and comfort in a road car,” the rally driver added.
