Reading the stats of the new 435i on paper, the car seems impressive but nothing special compared to its rivals. According to the official specs, it will do 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.9 seconds (for xDrive models) with the 8-speed automatic gearbox.
On the road, the beast feels a lot quicker. Give it a little bump and you’ll instantly see even bigger differences. The guys from iPE just released a video of a 435i using their Valvetronic exhaust system and I have to say, that 4er looks absolutely blazing fast on the road.
Maybe it’s just an impression caused by the sound of the exhaust (that is crazy, by the way) but it can’t be all because of that. Just look at how fast it accelerates. I’m guessing the new exhaust also helps out with HP and torque a little, but iPE didn’t provide any info regarding such suppositions yet.
