The design of the new X6 started a lot of heated debates around the internet. While some claim that the new model is just as ugly as the old one, we think it’s actually a great improvement. Now, it’s all just a matter of taste, we guess, but there are a couple of tuning companies out there that will forever be perfect for such controversial cars.
One of them is Hamann. The Germans created an impressive array of options for the old E71 X6 but now are picking things up again with the F16 version. Therefore, the first parts for the Sport Activity Coupe are already here and we can show them to you.
The first thing they did was fit it with their wheels, as usual. The new X model was put on 23-inch rims in various guises. Checking out the photo gallery below you’ll notice that the car looks brilliant the multi-spoke Edition Race rims in its darkest finish, a combo that even Hamann seems to be taking well to.
Of course, other choices are also available, such as Forged versions in gunmetal or anodized finishes, Anniversary and EVO models in silver, black or hyper black and also the HM Evo model that is one of a kind.
The car they used for photography is an M50d model that is sold only in Europe at the moment. It features the N57S tri-turbo diesel 3-liter engine making 381 HP and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque and comes, as standard, with a slightly modified M Sport package.
That entire package was the completed by what seems to be a Hamann exhaust. We don’t have any official info at the moment, so it could be that they replaced only the tips round the back but it would be an interesting proposition to create a new exhaust for the M50d diesel model, wouldn’t it?
