Along with the new IS model launch last year, Lexus managed to score two major achievements - making one of the best-looking compact sedans and turn ballet from plain boring to awesome.
Don’t get us wrong here; as males we like female ballet dancers, but watching them jump on their toes from here to there at a show for a couple hours gets boring. Unless they’re accompanied by new age music and a cool car like the Lexus IS.
Which happened in Lexus IS’ first promo commercial.
The ad also marked a new beginning for Lexus’ new youth oriented marketing campaigns and as you can see, the brand now boasts a whole new level of appeal. Fast-paced sequences, bright lights, a beautiful ballet dancer and an awesome sedan perfectly synchronized on a modern underground soundtrack.
And if we already introduced you to the 2014 Lexus IS, let us show you who’s the talented dancer most of you might got a crush on after seeing her demonstrating how a stronger body makes for greater control - mantra used both in ballet and automotive world.
The lady behind those awesome moves is Tamara Rojo, the creative director and lead principal ballerina of the English National Ballet, who has received some of the highest honors for services to the arts.
Her determination and talent hasn’t stopped her even when her appendix burst during a performance. She paid the price by staying six months in the hospital, but she fully recovered and started performing again in an even greater shape.
Check out her perception of body and strength in the interview bellow.
