Insane Stunts, Ken Block and James May Race Ricky Carmichael

We must admit that last weekend’s Top Gear show really left us speechless, with all those stunts that Ken Block and Ricky Carmichael put up together. Well, it was also a plane involved at some moment, don’t know who the pilot was, but that scene was a blast for sure.

Carmichael rides a Suzuki motocross bike on an obstacle course in conjunction with Monster Energy rally car driver Ken Block who had James May sitting in that prepped Subaru WRX Sti next to him, as Jalopnik revealed.

We don’t know how Captain Slow felt, but he sure had a surprised look on his face after the Subaru landed back on the ground. The guys really seemed to have fun shooting the scene, and so did we in watching it.

Carmichael retired from the world of Supercross/Motocross racing at the end of 2007, after winning 16 AMA titles. He also won every single race in the 2002 and 2004 Motocross seasons, which says a lot about this motocross racing legend. Carmichael has now begun a new career in stock car racing, but it seems like he still has what it takes on handling a two-wheeler.

After watching the video below, you will be probably stunned hearing that Ken Block has only been driving rally cars for a short amount of time. His first year of rallying was in fact 2005, when he was named Rally America's Rookie of the Year. The following year, he was signed by Subaru Rally Team USA.

Block is also the co-founder of the action sports company DC Shoes, sold to Quicksilver in 2004. He is now Chief Brand Officer where he oversees the DC brand. One of DC's newest products is a driving shoe developed by Block and Subaru Rally Team USA teammate Travis Pastrana.
