It’s not everyday that you stumble upon majestic MINIs like this one. This JCW Countryman was thoroughly examined and inspected and, after careful examination and brilliant engineering, taken up to no less than 310 HP.
Some might say that they must’ve used a different engine though, as the 1.6-liter 4-banger couldn’t possibly develop that much power. Well, that kind of suppositions would be wrong.
This baby has the same engine as when it left the Magna Steyr factory only that it received a bigger turbocharger and an anti-lag system to take it up to 310 HP and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque.
The end result is not only blazing fast but also incredibly loud, as you can see in the video. The car also seems to be using the rally-proven ALL4 all-wheel-drive system and the standstill launches it does are pretty impressive and rather impossible only with the standard FWD transmission. Check it out!
