We are in for a most spectacular R nineT built that will surface really soon. The French branch of BMW Motorrad has decided upon the winner of the Custom R nineT Contest and it is... drums rolling, the Inglorious Bastard sidecar concept.
We showed you the three finalist designs that stole the show, all three pictured by the Holographic Hammer, at Motorrad's request. Even though initially, seeing the HH signature on all three bikes was a bit confusing, the truth was that all three concepts needed to be shown in similar graphic presentations.

A sidecar R nineT is a most welcome premiere

We've seen countless designs based on BMW's R nineT, and even met several bikes that can actually be built, with the amazing Paris-Dakar scrambler from Luismoto being only the latest one.

Still, it looks like Old School Engineering (OSE) have been among the first customizers to take such a bold step and come forth with a sidecar idea. Harking back to the overall looks of WWI Zeppelins and showing zero-compromise all-terrain grunt, the Inglorious Bastard engulfs the modern cues of the R nineT in a spectacular, century-old retro aura.

Now, that the Bastard rose above, it's time for Old School Engineering to get busy. BMW Motorrad France delivered a brand new R nineT to their doorstep and a €10,000 ($11,000) check to help financing the build.

OSE will keep you up to date during the process of taking the Inglorious Bastard from paper to the street. Anthony, Benoit, Christophe, and Marco will assemble and make the necessary preparations to deliver this spectacular machine until autumn, when it will be officially unveiled at the Salon Moto Legende show in the Parc Floral in the French capital, Paris.

The 18th edition of the Salon Moto Legende will be open 20-22 November, 2015.
