Today Hyundai revealed an official sketch rendering of the upcoming Prophecy concept-based Ioniq 6 EV compact sedan, but it seems the OEMs do not even come remotely close to what automotive virtual artists can achieve.
The good folks over at the Gotcha Cars channel on YouTube quickly provided evidence of that, as they doubled down on the surreal official teaser with a much more down-to-Earth unofficial depiction of the upcoming zero-emission player. They also pitted the informal design against some of its upcoming rivals or siblings, such as the Tesla Model 3 or Ioniq 5 and EV6.
Speaking of Kia, the channel was quick to also give its fans something to ruminate and ogle at, in the form of yet another sneak peek at the upcoming 2024 Kia EV9 flagship battery-powered SUV. The EV equivalent of the incredibly popular 2023 Telluride, this posh zero-emission vehicle has been marked for an official presentation sometime during the second half of 2023, so we still need to be a little patient with the South Korean automaker.
Luckily, these eager pixel masters quickly fill our waiting times with imagined designs, and this is certainly not the first time (nor the last time) we get to see this channel flaunt its vision of the 2024 Kia EV9. On this occasion, after we check out what has changed since the last CGI time that we saw an unofficial EV9 idea, the comparison section is covered by a quick ICE vs. EV9 battle with the 2023 Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride, and Mohave, or even the lesser-known SsangYong Rexton.
Then, as always, it is all about the expected color palette – which features a bunch of cool CGI transformations, from a summer orange to ritzy teal and from traditional black or white to dark blues or easy-to-maintain silvers. So, which hue is your digital EV9 favorite?
