May the 4th be with you! Star Wars Day has been around for quite some time, but I can't remember the last time it's been such a huge phenomenon. Sure, Twitter wasn't around when George Lucas created Darth Vader, but I just can't understand why people who have no connection to this fantasy universe are buzzing with excitement today.
Take these photos, which were released by the Infiniti Red Bull F1 racing team today. They show how the car has been dressed in Star Wars logos and the pit crew appears to have joined the evil empire.

Care to guess what astronauts aboard the International Space Station? Just the epic lightsaber battle between Mace Windu and Darth Sidious, no big deal!

May 4th is Star Wars' birthday and stands a good chance to become the most important unofficial holiday for geeks around the world. According to Lucasfilm, the phrase "May the 4th be with you" originated on May 4, 1979, the day Margaret Thatcher. An ad was published in the London Evening News, which read "May the Fourth Be With You, Maggie. Congratulations."

Fast forward over 30 years and 2015 is a great time to be a Star Wars fan again, as the 7th movie called "The Force Awakens" is coming out in December. It's expected to be a huge hit, with some reports suggesting it will earn half a billion dollars in the first three days.

The photos confirm Red Bull still has a sense of humor, even though it's not the fun team t used to be. However, as Star Wars fans, we have to ask one question: do you want Stormtroopers in the pit crew? They're supposed to be elite soldiers, but in all the movie they can't seem to hit anything while shooting… unless it's a droid. So how are they supposed to find those nuts with the torque guns?

By the way, we find the fact that the F1 car is powered by the dark side when racing regulations forbid any unfair advantage very unlikely. The stickers should have said "powered by downsized engines" or "powered by energy drinks."
