Wait, you're not familiar with "National Lampoon's Vacation"? Well, you'll need a quick crash course to better understand Infiniti's latest ad for the QX60 SUV.
Briefly put, the Griswold family's cross-country drive to the Walley World theme park proves to be much more arduous than they ever anticipated as things don't go as planned when Clark Griswold is losing all thought towards a mysterious blonde in a red Ferrari.

Now, hold that thought because here comes Infiniti's version. In the spot called 'Vacation', Ethan Embry (who starred as Rusty in "Vegas Vacation") loads his family in the 3-row QX60 and hits the road for Walley World.

At some point, Ethan looks in his side view mirror and sees an attractive blonde in a red Lamborghini coming in fast. As Ethan and the blonde keep up with each other on the highway, Christie Brinkley is revealed as his wife. She ends the scene with an ironic response: "Honey, a blonde in a convertible? Seriously?"

Infiniti's ending motto here is "Built for families. Designed for drivers. The QX60 from Infiniti" but we've got to give it to you; the commercial does bring some old memories to life.

"The QX60 is the ideal choice for families needing versatility but who also don't want to sacrifice a thrilling and empowering drive. The ‘Vacation' scene is so iconic, and we wanted to recreate it through the lens of a modern day family in a luxury SUV," said Allyson Witherspoon, Director of Marketing Communications and Media, Infiniti USA.

In other QX60-related new, the SUV is available in both front-wheel drive and with the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system. The SUV is animated by a 3.5-liter V6, which produces 265 horsepower and 248 lb-ft (336 Nm) of torque.
