Infiniti has two rabbits in the hat to show the world at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and besides the QX30 Concept, we got to see the Q60 prototype in the metal, described by its makers as a vision for a future sports coupe.
The QX30 crossover concept has a partner by its side at the Infiniti stand in Geneva. It’s called the Q60 and according to Infiniti, it hints at the brand’s next sports coupe. We already saw the car in Detroit, but honestly, its shapes are like honey to a bear.

“The Q60 Concept is more than a design exercise; it is earmarked for production. What you see in this concept vehicle inspires the sports coupe that Infiniti will produce next year,” said Roland Krueger, Infiniti President and CEO.

Kudos Infiniti, you really know how to make us interested in your products. We’ll start with appearance, as this is what meets the eye first. According to Infiniti, the Q60 concept is 4,690 mm (184.6 in) long, 1,865 (73.4 in) wide and 1,370 mm (53.9 in) tall. That being said, we expect it to rival european hot-shots like the BMW 4 Series and the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe.

Aerodynamics are a must and Infiniti's deep double arch grille is just the tip of the iceberg. They also fitted the concept with a set of intelligent LED lights, capable of adapting the headlamps depending on the car’s speed, elevation and steering so the beam is always on the road ahead. Inside, the Q60 promises a “premium atmosphere” by offering a leather-wrapped instrument panel, steering wheel and door inserts, while carbon fiber is also a part of the equation.

In case you’re curious about what’s hiding under the hood, we can give you the full picture. Infiniti says the Q60 concept received a next-gen 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, already previewed by the Q80 Inspiration prototype last year, during the Paris Motor Show. The engine is good for 450 HP, meaning that Q60 could also be a potential competitor for the BMW M4 and the new Mercedes C63 AMG.
