On its own merit, the Infiniti Q50 has proven to be a stellar luxury sport sedan in its first year on the market, but the version of this car most of us have been waiting for is the fire-breathing Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge. Infiniti has spent the entire year teasing enthusiasts with the Eau Rouge, and that continues with a new promotional video of the exciting sedan.
Titled “Infiniti Q50 The Beast Within,” this video gives a couple minutes of great running footage, and while it’s not as cool as watching the Eau Rouge performing the Hill Climb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, it’s always fun to see this concept vehicle in action. The special effects in the video are pretty neat too as the car transforms from a standard Q50 to a Q50 Eau Rouge as it dodges the light… and a wolf.

If you need a refresher, the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge prototype is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6 borrowed from the Nissan GT-R, and it is tuned to produce 560 hp (417 kW) and 442 lb-ft (600Nm) of torque. Giving the Eau Rouge its unique styling, the Q50’s body has been replaced with stunning carbon fiber body work.

Although Infiniti still hasn’t even officially confirmed if the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge high-performance sport sedan will actually enter production, it has almost every opportunity possible to tease us with the vehicle since it was first introduced at the Detroit Auto Show. Before his departure to Cadillac, former Infiniti boss Johan de Nysschen was quoted as saying that the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge recently hinted that the car would go into production in limited numbers (around 500 units) with a price of more than $100,000.
