Infiniti Q50 Sedan Named Best Chinese Premiere at 2013 Shanghai Auto Show

Infiniti's brightest star shun its light at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show and dazzled the crowd so much it received the “Best Chinese Premiere” by the organizing committee of the event.

The award was presented to Daniel Kirchert, Managing Director of Infiniti China, by Mr. He Yi, General Manager of sohu.com’s auto business unit and deputy editor-in-chief of the online magazine.

“We are honoured and very proud that our new premium Q50 saloon received this much-respected award,” said Kirchert. “This is a kickstart for the Q50 in China. We are looking forward to the market launch in spring 2014 with much confidence.”

Las year, Infiniti moved its headquarters to Hong Kong. At the ongoing Shanghai Auto Show, they announced local production of two models specifically designed to meet Chinese customer demands, the long-wheelbased versions of the Q50 and the QX50, which will be built in by the Infiniti-Dongfeng Motors Joint Venture in Xiangyang.
