Nissan’s luxury brand Infiniti plans to launch in Australia with two models, the M sedan and the FX, an SUV rival for the BMW X5, the Mercedes ML-Class and Lexus RX. Prices for this Japanese soft-roader start at AUD83,900.
The range starts with the FX37, powered by a 3.7-liter V6 engine with pushes the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds, combined with a fuel economy of 12.1 l/100km.
The diesel option is limited to the FX30d, which costs from $85,900 and offers improved fuel economy (9 l/100km) but compromises on performance (0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds).
Standard features include 20-inch alloy wheels, aluminum roof rails, Nissan’s “self-healing” paintwork, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, foglights, rain-sensing wipers, aluminum pedals, leather upholstery with heated/ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and engine start, electrically adjustable front seats, LED tail-lights, 8-inch colour infotainment screen, Bose audio and front and rear parking sensors.
