Infiniti Essence to Be Revealed on March 3 at Geneva

With the 2009 International Geneva Motor Show quickly approaching, global automakers get ready for the event and gives us a glimpse into the goodies they are going to display at the show. Infiniti today announced it will showcase a brand new concept produced in collaboration with Louis Vuitton but refused to provide more details about the car. However, Infiniti did mention that the new concept will introduce the company's new design line and will represent the “essence of the brand”.

The car is expected to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on March 3rd, according to the official statement issued by Infiniti.

“Infiniti will show visitors to the 2009 International Geneva Motor Show the essence of its brand in one dramatic concept car. A celebration of Infiniti and its 20 years history as a creator of performance cars, the powerful concept will also be an inspiring exploration into the brand's future,” the press release reads.

Infiniti also rolled out a teaser which doesn't suggest too much about the concept. Nevertheless, expect to see a highly-luxurious vehicle since it's designed in collaboration with Louis Vuitton. Unfortunately, this doesn't sound even close to affordable, a main attribute during economic recession times but, since it's only a concept, it's likely to see lots of modifications on the mass-production series, if one ever exists.

In addition, just like many other models launched these days, it will probably incorporate fuel-efficient models, particularly focused on fuel economy and CO2 emissions.

Besides the Infiniti Essence concept, Nissan's brand will also display the G37 Convertible for the first time in Europe. The company hasn't released other details at this point, so we're still waiting for the second Essence concept teaser likely to arrive in the next few days.
