Regardless of how cool they might be, modern bikes lack that awesome attire the retro machinery emanates. And when it comes to older motorcycles kept in top-notch running condition and with carefully-preserved aesthetics, pitting a modern motorcycle and a retro one is such an unfair battle.
And if you're still undecided, here's a bike spotted by Brauchi's Bikes' Lars Justinger: an older Kawasaki W650, not only well-preserved, but proudly displaying a matching style sidecar and multiple upgrades.

The solo seat of the bike is consistent with the retro look of the machine, even though the conical high-flow air filter protruding through the airbox cover is all but vintage. On the other hand, we could not help admiring the sleek and sober white pinstripe against the shiny black paint of the bike, a glorious match for the white wall tires and the classic exhaust.

While the W650 already looks worthy of mobster action movie roles with is menacing attire, it's the sidecar which evokes the amazing heritage of the 50s automotive design, with boat-like shapes and flowing, fluid lines. And if the hinged miniature windscreen of the sidecar is not convincing enough, maybe the awesome tail fin will.

Too bad they don't make top hat helmets to go with the white neckerchiefs...
