Rarely do race drivers find road autos interesting, and to be honest it’s more than natural for things to stay that way. After all, there’s nothing like hitting the track with some of the world’s fastest machines. Even so, when they do buy a new car pros like IndyCar ace Graham Rahal, they choose the best of the best, just like this customized Porsche 918 Spyder.
It turns out being an IndyCar racer does pay off big time. I mean, Graham Rahal is 26 and already rides with the A-listers in the sport. He has competed in no less than 116 races and had two victories to his name. Clearly, with great success come top-notch treats, so when the racer ordered his new ride through Isringhausen Imports, he told them it had to come with a special touch.

That special something comes in the shape of the Weissach Aerodynamics Package and, of course, the bright green color. On top of these, the vehicle also received a set of custom HRE wheels.

We’re talking about supreme eye candy, which will undoubtedly leave a lot of fans of the IndyCar ace with their heads turning. As if the hybrid hypercar isn’t an incredible piece of engineering itself, the Porsche 918 Spyder is also sold out, which means chances to get one are close to none.

The Green beauty may not be an actual racing machine, but Rahal can rest assured that the driving experience will not fail to impress. Not that you don’t know already, but let us not forget we are looking at a naturally-aspirated 4.6-liter V8 engine, developing 608 horsepower, with two electric motors delivering an additional 279 horsepower. The combined output reaches an impressive 887 horsepower.
