Out of all the cars inside a San Francisco BMW dealership, one poor, unlucky thief had to choose the one that was dressed up in Frozen Red! That’s what happened this weekend as one troubled 37-year old man drove a brand new M3 through a side window of the shop, trying to get away with a robbery that seemed taken straight out of a Hollywood movie.
According to the local media, the man is now in custody, waiting for a final decision regarding his behavior and the car is totaled. That’s a sad day not only for its owner but also for car enthusiasts around the world.
As you can probably tell, the M3 was dressed in an Individual color, Frozen Red, which was more expensive that other new cars probably. According to the police, it seems like this particular vehicle wasn’t even the offender’s first choice.
The police department says that he managed to break into the dealership via a ceiling window, located the box where the keys for the cars were kept, broke it open and, after failing to drive away with a black BMW, he decided to take the red one.
Just like we’ve seen in so many action movies over the years, our man drove the car straight through the dealership’s window, in search of freedom. Unluckily for him, he crashed not too far away into a parked cab, and the suspect decided to ditch the car and continue on foot.
After his hit and run, he made his way home where his wife wasn’t all that glad about what he did and started a fight. That’s also what got him caught as officers answered a call for a domestic dispute that very morning and realized that they were dealing with the man that stole the Frozen Red BMW earlier that day. Quite baffling, right?
