Indian Wall of Death Demonstration

We are not sure how many of you automotive fans are familiar with the term Wall of Death. Born as a carnival sideshow and somewhat reminiscent of the Mad Max atmosphere, the let's call it show involves a flimsy circular wall, made of anything convenient, surrounding a small, center stage.

In this cylinder, crazy people with bikes rev their engines and start spinning, until they begin riding the wall itself, as close to the edge as possible.

Dangerous as it may seem, the stunt is not extremely life threatening. Done properly, it becomes only a thrill. That is if you don't decide to ditch the bike and start performing the act in a Maruti-Suzuki.

The video you can watch below is not an official Maruti promo (although, if you ask us, it couldmake a nice ad). The images shown here were taken by a casual traveler to India, who had the inspiration to go (camera included) and see The Diamond Maruti Car Circus in Delhi.

What our traveler saw in India is featured in the video below: the usual motorcycles and the unusual Maruti riding and driving, in a near horizontal position, at quite a respectable speed...

As you can see, the guys doing this are utterly crazy (and trained). No, we don't mean the ones driving the cars and, from time to time, hanging out the windows of their cars. We mean the guys at the bottom of the bit, who seem incredible relaxed with cars and bikes circling over their heads.
