So Indian have showed the world their long-awaited all-new power unit, dubbed Thunder Stroke 111, and as far as we can tell now, we're sold. It looks awesome, and if the sound of the bikes equipped with this new engine will be half as nice as what we hear in the end of the video, then it's most likely one of the greatest stock sounds ever.
The Thunder Stroke 111 engine arrived in less than 2 years after Polaris bought Indian Motorcycles, and this is a very strong statement for the parent company's commitment to make a serious comeback in the cruiser business.

We're looking at an all-new 49-degree v-twin developed according to the best parts and ideas in all the past Indian engines and sporting extensive dynojet testing and tweaking. A 6-speed overdrive gearbox is attached to it using a heavy-duty clutch which is stronger and lighter than the usual industry standard.

We're waiting for more data on the new power unit. All we know now is that this new v-twin can deliver in excess of 115 lb-ft (156 Nm) of torque. And that it looks amazing. Via Cyril Huze.
