Just days after the stir about the future small Duke from KTM, here's an Indian source confirming the production of this new bike for 2013.
If there are some readers raising an eyebrow on the “India?” question, here are the facts. KTM has partnered with Indian motorcycle manufacturer Bajaj for building the new Duke and exporting it all over the world.

Now, back to the Duke. As speculated, the new bike could surface at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy next month. The new machine is dubbed Duke 390, but it will be powered by a single-cylinder 375cc engine, capable of no less than 45 PS and weighing around 150 kg (around 331 lbs).

This 4-valve bike is also believed to reach as much as much as 200 km/ h (125 mph), but that's still to be proved. The frame is most likely to be the same Trellis chassis with cast aluminium swingarm, maybe a bit beefed up to scale, but still on the lightweight side. WP suspension is just natural for KTM so the new Duke promises to be quite a fun little beast.

Indian sources also report that the KTM Duke 390 could be available in the second quarter of 2013 globally. Now, the next step it keeping a close eye on the EICMA.
