Yesterday I showed you Indian’s new toy for its big cruiser models, but along with that, the whole range got new or upgraded features for 2017, starting with the smaller Scout that now comes in a gorgeous new color setup.
The 2017 Scout is available in seven color schemes including two-tones for the first time in the model’s history. You can choose between Red over Black or Brilliant Blue over Pearl White with Fireball Red Pinstripe. Ivory Cream is also new on the options list along with the previous colors.
For the Scout Sixty, there’s now the possibility to make it A2 compliant as a result of Euro dealerships’ feedback. The downgrade kit can be installed before delivery to the customer. Colors remain the same - Thunder Black, Pearl White, and Indian Motorcycle Red.
The Chief Classic received a new Burgundy Metallic over Thunder Black color scheme while the Chief Vintage gained two such amenities: Indian Red over Ivory Cream and Springfield Blue over the same base.
Moving on to the 2017 Indian Springfield, this model is also available in two-tone colors for the first time. We’re talking about Steel Grey over Burgundy Metallic with Silver Stripe and Springfield Blue Metallic over Star Silver.
The bigger Chieftain comes with the new Ride Command touchscreen infotainment system as well as two new visual options - White Smoke and Wildfire Red over Thunder Black.
Finally, the top-trim Roadmaster can be had in Burgundy Metallic or Willow Green over Ivory Cream along with a tan leather seat and the infotainment mentioned above.
The Scout and Scout Sixty come with some functional mods too, like recalibrated rear shocks, improved wiring harness, redesigned rear exhaust pipe for more leg clearance, bearing covers on both sides of the swingarm and increased steering lock for tighter radius circles.
I just hope life with one kidney less is as great as before when I’ll ride that tan-leather-seated Willow Green over Ivory Cream Roadmaster into the sunset...
