Indian Motorcycle and Red Wing Shoes have quite a lot of things in common. The first was founded in 1901 while the latter in 1905, both are based in Minnesota, with only 80 miles separating them and they also manufacture retro-styled goods.
The two now also decided to reunite their forces to put out some cool motorcycle boots for fans to complete their classic look while riding an Indian.
“It’s an honor to join forces with another iconic Minnesota-based company in creating this collection of fine handcrafted motorcycle boots,” said Dan Dahl, V.P. Red Wing Heritage. “For more than 110 years these two companies have been producing high-quality American-made products to help propel this country forward, and this collaboration continues that tradition. This new collection will deliver the epitome of comfort, protection, prestige and style to Indian Motorcycle riders and fans.”
The first boot in the collection is the brown lace-up Spirit Lake that was designed in homage to the dedicated men and women in Spirit Lake, Iowa, who built each Indian Motorcycle with a passion for quality and American craftsmanship.
The boot provides a stable fit and firm ankle protection, with a Vibram 430 sole for great grip and abrasion resistance. It also features a double layer leather toe cap, premium Amber Portage leather, gunmetal eyelets and brown stitching.
Next in line is the black pull-on Worthington boots, named after the street in Springfield, Mass., where Indian Motorcycle began full-scale production in 1902.
This boot is based on Red Wing Shoes' classic Engineer style and got modified for riding through the addition of a Vibram 430 sole, an instep strap for better fitting, premium leather, Indian Motorcycle buckles, an embossed logo and all black stitching.
Last but not least, there's the women's black pull-on Connelly boots, named after Catherine Connelly of Owatonna, Minn., one of the brand's earliest female riders and loyalists.
The boot is based on Red Wing Shoes' Engineer as well, while coming with plain toe styling, Heeled Oil Resistant Cushion Crepe sole, and an instep strap, along with Indian Motorcycle emblems.
Men boots are available in EU sizes from 39 to 47 while the women version comes in 35 to 41.5. The three boots will soon be available in dealerships soon.
